Anja is a competent Chartered Landscape Architect with over 15 years of experience in Landscape Architecture. Her educational and professional background in landscape design, planting design and soil science together with her competence in project management and construction management enables her to handle complex tasks.

She is a co-founder of Zoras Landscape Design and Urbanism founded in 2009. Her vision is to create a thriving society and environment through inspirational, well planned and managed urban and rural Landscapes. She achieves this through landscape designs and strategies that are based on their ecological and economical sustainability as a social, political, and cultural act.
Anja has collaborated with award-winning companies in Germany, Great Britain, India and the Middle East on numerous projects worldwide. She has designed and implemented projects in the temperate and tropical zone. She specialises in Landscape Design, Ecosystem Services, especially Soil Strategies and collaborates with specialists across the board depending on the technical expertise needed to realise a project brief. She oversees the firm’s international projects from the initial stages to implementation.

Anja has been a guest lecturer at Acharya NRV School of Architecture and Dayananda Sagar Academy (DSATM), Bangalore and has acted as external critic for Nitte School of Architecture, Mangalore. 

In 2022 she has published her first paper on ‘Hybrid Landscapes of India: Communicators Between the Worlds’ and presented her work at the DLA Conference held at Harvard Graduate School of Design, US.

December 2020 to May 2023 she was part of the design team of King Salman Park, Riyadh, Saudi Arabia where she was responsible for the development and integration of the park’s soil strategy together with the Soil Scientists. In June 2023 Anja was appointed as Soil Lead to the Design Guardian team to protect and champion the original design intent of the Soil Strategy during implementation.
