Regeneration of a large urban plot of 92 acres to create a mixed use development with improved/ new pedestrian, cycle, public transport and road linkages to the existing urban fabric. It is also one of the largest waterfront regeneration projects within the UK. The area is urban and contemporary – a vibrant environment with ample public squares and green spaces, leisure activities and linkages. Sheeraz Zaidi with Gillespies llp (U.K.) have developed the masterplan and implemented the designs for areas including the Linear Park and Riverside Walkway, as the first phase of the creation of this new place. The masterplan incorporates the Riverside Museum of Transport by Zaha Hadid Architects, Medowside Quay, Merklands Quay as well as earlier masterplan for Castlebank Quay.
